I HAVE ARRIVED

I’ve stepped out stronger into a new unknown place!!! But what mysteries lie in this unknown place? This is a direct sequel to Steppin’ Out Stronger.

In this spoken word project I’m adventuring in a new place and it’s going to have a sprinkle of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Adventure and a few other genres (which is so cool because they're some of my favourite genres, more spoken word rap this time around exploring more wordplay, rap, rhythmical pieces after the success of Island Whine & LIVIN’ IT UP, monologues and a few other things). I also open up and share a few things, I’m ready to talk about.

I feel like I’ve grown a lot more in my writing/performing and also in myself since starting out in 2018, I’m now 30 and I have grown a lot since my debut writing project (Beauty Within The Cracks) when I was 24 (nearly 25) and I explore that throughout this project, so it’s all about exploring the unknown as my 20’s is gone, but also living in the moment and seeing what life brings, while having some fun as I spent so long, thinking I wasn't good enough, didn't deserve the same opportunities as others, I wasn't smart enough, made to feel like I didn't matter, but I had to work on that.

I stroll so slowly
Along a beautiful trail
As the sunlight touches my face
Like a soft high-five
I feel lighter now
As I’ve let the heaviness drop
Those chapters are now closing
I’m smiling as I look up thinking,
I’m doing well
And I have stories to tell
Breath in my chest feels golden and kind
I’m now on this winding way, un-designed
Every footprint shouting,

Every little step I take now
Teaches me to stay

I breathe in the hush

Let the noise fall asleep

Nothing here to chase

Nothing I have to keep

Peace in walking right by my side

In the hush of the trees and the long

Slow stride

The world feels calm
For a while today
As I let the stillness

I float in place,

Like a thought that finally found its space

I used to race around for

Thinking I’m not doing enough

Chasing what is enough

Running out of breath on

The edge of too much
But, here the only ticking time

That I have found
Is the wings on a back of a passing cloud
So I slow right down

From a word to a line

To a fragile vine

It feels like roots growing in real time

Miles melt away like morning mist
Pretty flowers surround
Sweet perfume tangles in the air
Light through the leaves

Is stained-glass green

The most beautiful sight I've ever seen

In the hush of my chest,

Finally feeling serene
As I observe the trees
Feeling the glorious breeze

Vines overhead draw lace in the sky

Crocheted shadows as the clouds slide by
Phone in my bag, no chime, no chase
Just me and the trail in an easy embrace

Blessings in the crunch of the ground
