Bio
Hiya I’m Emmanuel Carriere, 29 (artist name is MANNY).
Performer, Writer & Actor (fusing spoken word, acting, music and movements/dance together).
My hobbies include: writing, performing, listening to music, watching films, exploring new places, switch, netflix and more.
I’ve finished at Roehampton University doing Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies graduating in 2019. What a fun and interesting four years it was.
During my university experience I started Be The Change. Growing up, I found it difficult to express myself.
When I was younger I loved working on creative things but since people told me to stop and was negative towards me, I found myself lost and confused.
I kept on fighting and working hard. I feel blessed that after a few years I’m able to translate my abilities into a blossoming creative space a bit more than ever before.
I’ve always strive to learn and develop my style, voice, creative abilities and more. I love to approach every challenge I come across as an experience to grow and develop as a creative person.
That’s why, in addition to working on projects, collaborations and more. I also, seek out new creative things which are always exciting.

This was the first piece I dropped for BURNIN’ FLAME back in April 2023 (this began the BURNIN’ FLAME Era).
This piece is a monologue. I get to have firepower and other magical powers in this piece which if you know me, I’m a big Marvel fan and love the sense of having superpowers I think it is awesome.
This is a feel-good piece (which is how I’m feeling at the moment) but also to say to people that it’s okay to fall, have bad days etc. because I feel that it is important to talk about.
I’ve decided to put this out to say, thank you to everyone who continues to support me and my creative work, but also to celebrate BURNIN’ FLAME. So I hope you enjoy :D
